Tournament Structure

Mens Competition

The final competition structure will be agreed with the IGRAB executive however we believe a similar structure to that run in New York in 2006 should be adopted whereby there will be three competitions ie Cup, Plate and Bowl. Allocation of teams to competitions will be based on seeding derived from the results of the Bingham Cup 2006 competition. New team and second string teams will automatically compete in the Bowl competition.

All three competitions will run on a pool and knockout basis with all matches, except the Cup final, scheduled for 2 x 20 minute halves.  All non final teams will play 5 matches (2 Friday, 2 Saturday, 1 Sunday morning).  They will then be free to watch the finals of the Bowl, Plate and Cup, in that order, on Sunday afternoon.

Womens Competition

There will also be a womens competition which will have a similar pools and knockout format.  The competition will commence on the Saturday with finals on the Sunday.  Registration pricing is identical for men and womens squads.

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the womens tournament as we haven't had sufficient interest to hold a single match never mind a round-robin. We would like to apologies to the San Francisco Womens team for any inconvenience this has caused.
